Parent representatives are democratically elected parents of a school classroom. Their tasks are, among others, to maintain and cultivate the parents' interest in and responsibility for educative tasks, to give the parents the opportunity for information and discussion and to contribute to the improvement of internal and external conditions of the school. Parents of children with disabilities can also be parent representatives in a mainstream school with inclusve settings.
